The clan cats have known about their ancestors second lives for only a few seasons, just learning that there is life after death and eternal peace after that. But what happens when the worlds start to blend? What happens when ancestors can now have conversations with the every day cat?
Will medicine cats go...extinct?
No. Most certainly not.
Lately the clan cats have been seeing ghosts, or spirits of their ancestors, walking, yes walking, about the forest and clan territories. At first they were frightened, but later when the medicine cats began to realize they recognized these cats they came to a conclusion. These 'ghosts' were actually real, at one time or another. No one is quite sure how this is happening, but in the real world the Starclan and Crescentclan cats are starting to show up, and their forms are becoming more and more solid in form. However, in the second life world, the real clan cats can not be seen as ghosts. Why? Because they have not moved on.
Cats were confused, not knowing what to think, not knowing where to begin to think. But one night, at a gathering, a 'ghost' showed 'it' could talk, and it knew who it was talking to, his name was Twostar, by that name everyone knew who he was. He stated:
"I understand that you can see me, and it worries you. But do not let that scare you, these skys are clear and allow Starclan, and Crescentclan to show themselves here. We are real, but we are in our new lives, we are your ancestors. After this life you will live a second life, live and die again. You are able to look down upon this world, the world of the clans, and help them as your ancestors see fit. I remember everyone saying 'Starclan' sent us a sign, but what if it wasn't us? The clans of Eternal Peace have sent US signs of what is going to happen, we are the messengers. You can see me, us, because our worlds are so close to the living no one can tell the difference."
And with that he disappeared, leaving the clans in confusion. Many wonder 'why do we need the medicine cats to tell us the signs?' Although the clan cats can talk to the dead cats that does not mean they can get signs, the ancestors magic is stronger towards Deputies, Leaders and Medicine cats and their apprentices. The future is unclear, but after Twostar's speech the clans know something is coming, and they are certain it is going to be bad.
