Garnetpaw is your typical brown tabby. His fur is sleek because of his RiverClan ancestry and it is short. He has the same downy undercoat as his sister, Jasper, but he doesn't use it to keep warm while swimming. He just uses in leafbare when he needs to go on an extra patrol. The brown fur gets lighter on his sides and belly until it is almost a sandy color with wide-spaced black stripes. He has a solid black stripe from the base of his neck to his tail and the stripes on his shoulders are so close together it makes them appear as if they're shaded black. His face is completely stripeless except for two think black lines near his eyes and his forehead. The fur on the bottom of his paws is black as is the skin on his paw pads. His nose is black around the edges and tries to fade into pink near the center, but it is still dark.

Garnetpaw has large amber eyes that are outlined in black which helps emphasize his eyes and protect them from the sun a bit.

::Build::

Garnetpaw is a slender young cat with a long tail. His claws are slightly longer than normal so they always seem to be poking out of their sheaths. He's an average height, so his slimness and long tail make his average length legs look slightly out of place, but not enough so to make him look strange. His ears are big, but he'll grow into them as he gets older.

Personality:

Garnetpaw tends to be a little shy and reserved. He doesn't make friends easily, even though he's friendly, and is a little awkward most of the time. He is easily embarassed and has a temper to defend himself with. When embarrassed in front of many cats, he'll basically explode to try and save his pride. And if that doesn't work, he'll just lay low for the next few days or until things return to normal. He isn't a very sentimental cat, but family is still important to him; he just won't show it.

History:

Garnetkit and his sister Jasperkit were born to two RiverClan warriors. He can't remember their names or their faces. His father was killed in a border skirmish before he was even born and his mother died soon after he and his sister were brought into the world. A foster mother was assigned to them, but the medicine cat had to come check on them because the milk supply was low. To this day, Garnetpaw isn't sure what compelled him to leave, but when he was four moons old, he just left. He didn't tell anyone, not ever his sister, he simply vanished. He was a loner for a couple days, but he soon discovered that he couldn't feed himself and that was when a patrol found him. It was lead by a soft hearted she-cat who couldn't stand to see the ragged pelt and hungry eyes of the kit and took him back to camp. The leader allowed him to stay and he moved into the nursery there for the next two moons.

::Apprenticeship::

Garnetpaw is just starting his apprenticeship. He knows he has a sister in RiverClan, he just sees no reason to visit her or even let her know where he went to. Perhaps they might meet again at a gathering or near the border, but this apprentice isn't going out of his way to rekindle family bonds.
