Dewpaw was glad she had cleaned herself up. Her fur was groomed nicely and her ears were perky and she similed. Sanding she shook abit to give herself more of a nautral look and she stepped up. Looking to Sootstar with bright green blue eyes. "I do." Her small gental voice replyed. She wondered who would train her. She waited for Destinedpaw and Jasperpaw. She ganced back to see Jasperpw. "Hey get up here!" She meowed

Ahh kits, they never seem to pay attention. Why didn't Sootstar call me? Is there not enough warriors? 'Hey get up here' Huh? Jasperkit hadn't realized she had been called, either that or something made her think she wouldn't be apprenticed. Pushing herself up she gazed at Dewkit for a moment before thinking about Sootstars words again. I was called! She smiled and darted forward, pelt brushing Dewpaws by accident. "I do!" she called out to Sootstar. Glancing at Dewkit/paw she murmured quietly "I didn't hear my name" She flicked her ears back then forward to show she was sorry and felt quite horrible about what had happened. Mousebrain! Pay better attention!

Sootstar noticed one missing Jasperkit the young warrior ran up too the stream rock "I do" she squeaked after the other two. Good, you have all come of the age of apprenticeship. Dewpaw you mentor will be Leopardfire She took a long breath Destinedpaw, your mentor will be Sparrowfang. Finally JasperpawWho is late You mentor Will be Ivyeyes She stood looking over the three apprentices with pride, and she could see that their goal one day would possibly take her position in Riverclan. Now on a side note, Moonshine please step foreward she announced, waiting for the warrior to step up in front of her.

Dewpaw smiled and turned to Jasperpaw after Sootstar had finished anouncing her mentor and everyone elses. "Congrads, but better pay attention silly." She meowed. How couldn't she have heard her name? she didn't swell instead she walked over to Leopardfire and gave him a smile. "Hello Leopardfire." She meowed in greeting to her new mentor. Finally train would begin for her adn she could become a warrior in time.

Moonshine smiled as Dewpaw, Destinedpaw, and Jasperpaw were made apprentices. He remembered when he was first made and apprentice; it was a wonderful feeling. He looked curious when Sootstar called his name. All the apprentices were given mentors, so what would she want him for? Moonshine limped cautiously up to Stream Rock and blinked up at Sootstar.

Sootstar stood, watching Moonshine wander out of the crowd towards her. He sat in front of the stream rock. Moonshine, you are a loyal and smart tom despite your disability you still are a proud member of Riverclan, that is why by the power invested in me I name you Moonshine the deputy of Riverclan she announced, bounding off of the stream rock. She placed her paw on his forehead, Do you vow to keep starclan close and protect Riverclan with you life? She asked him, knowing the answer. She stood her ivy eyes glinting with happiness

Moonshine felt his chest fill with pride when Sootstar named him the new RiverClan deputy. But he also felt some confusion as well; why would Sootstar name someone like him deputy? Moonshine nodded steadily. I do. I am honored that I have been chosen to become deputy. I promise to protect the clan with my life. Thank you. Moonshine purred as he accepted his new rank.

Dewpaw watched with round aqua eyes. She was happy from the warrior who now was named Deputy of her clan. she could tell by his voice he was perfect for the job. He was deticated and had earned in in her eyes. She then sat down not far from her new mentor and she watched waiting till the cerimony was finished. She wanted to eat and maybe get some training with Leopardfire. Or maybe she'd have to wait till tommorrow. I hope not. She thought then.

She glanced around the faces of her clan mates, some of them seemed to say 'your late! listen kit!' She flinched away as Sootstar paused, clearly she knew she had been 'late' Jasperpaw smiled and nodded at Ivyeyes, silently wondering what her mentor thought about her. I woke up late because no one cared enough to wake me! And about not hearing my name? Maybe I'm just mousebrained She flicked her ears at Dewpaw, maybe they could eventually be best friends, that is if Dewpaw didn't already think badly of her.
