Sharpfang groomed his muddy legs as he waited for Garnetpaw; he had nearly sunken in one of the sinkholes that had been appearing lately. He would have to warn Garnetpaw about them while they were training. What would they train when he got here? Hunting or fighting first? On one paw, if they went hunting, they would be more likely to fall in a sinkhole because they were roaming around more. On the other paw, if they were battle training, they would be to busy fighting to notice if they were roll into a sinkhole. Hmm, tough decision. Sharpfang would discuss this with Garnetpaw as soon as he got here.
Garnetpaw made his way up to Sharpfang. His left hind leg looked skinnier than the rest because of the mud that flattened his fur. He'd stepped in one of the sink holes, but only with one paw so it hadn't been too hard to wriggle out of. He looked up at Sharpfang with a slight smile. "What are we going to do first?" he asked.

Umm, how about battle training? Sharpfang asked Garnetpaw. He had decided that battle training was less dangerous, sort of. Sharpfang padded a few foxlengths away from Garnetpaw and turned to face him. Okay, when your ready, attack me! He called out. Sharpfang went into a defensive pose and waited for his apprentice to strike.
Garnetpaw stood and watched Sharpclaw. He nodded at his command. "O-okay," he said a bit uncertainly. He lowered to a crouch before rushing forward to try a head on charge attack.
((Sorry it's short, I'm being rushed outta the computer lab))

Sharpfang slid to the side when Garnetpaw was only a rabbit-length from him. He waited for Garnetpaw to stop before he started commenting. You would have done pretty good if it wasn't for the fact that you hesitated. You cannot stop to think when your in battle; show no fear or regret. Sharpfang stated solemnly. If you really want to fight, I'll give you a tip. Think of everything that makes you angry and things that you hate, but don't stop to think about it, think about it while your running towards me. The anger will build up your strength and having fury is good in a battle. He nodded. Some of the time... He let out a small, sad sigh. Now, let's try that again!
Garnetpaw nodded and sighed at his failure. "I can't think of anything to be angry at," he mewed, shuffling his paws slightly out of embarrassment. He'd only lived for six moons. The only thing he could really feel angry about was his kin in RiverClan. Even then it was only Jasperpaw and he held no ill will towards her, so that plan just sort of died right there. He sighed and shook his head slightly trying to find something to be mad about.
