Flicka slowly padded across the hall and to the open door. She scented the air and got familair scents. She sighed and let ourt a sigh of relief as she padded into the room. No one had come here yet......She walked over to a mirror in the room. her favorite one of all time. She looked at the carefully cut and designed wood and she loked at the mirror which had a bluish tint around the edge of it where it mixed with the wood. She looked at her tortishell relfection and grinned. She sat down and began grooming herself. She'd hunt soon but she didn't feel like it right now. She glanced back at the mirror has she groomed her fur. She had always had a fear of mirrors till she found this room and this special mirror. When ever she was unhappy she would come here and it would cheer her up. When she finished grooming she stayed sitting down and just looked into the mirror wondering about her shortness and how it was like the clan cats height.

Skyelark ;;Out on your own, Cold and alone again. Can this be what you really wanted, baby? Skyelark's glee faded slightly, she stared up at the massive wood doorways into the Castle her and her mate owned. Hood's voice rang in her head 'They are huge. But they are also strong, there is no way our home will go up in flames.' Would it really go up into flames, would it? she muttered, she began walking yet again, pondering the thoughts that swirled around her head. The image of a flaming castle, Suvia or Ghostflower being hurt in their exploration, and the overwell relationship with her beloved mate, Hood and spun in circles around her brain, confusing her, dazing her. I need to clear my thoughts, get away from my worries... she began in her head, but it was just too hard for her to think.
She finally slowed her pace to where a room lead off into a small spiral staircase in one corner, that was supposed to be covered by a bookshelf. Then another staircase, but this one was not spiral, and it did not lead up to the Royal Quarters. Skyelark sighed and shook her head I should leave Hood alone, he has the leading of this place to deal with, I shouldn't dump my problems on him aswell she wandered up the second stone staircase.
Skyelark paused at the top of the stairs, she gave the other end of the hallway a strange look Maybe I should go see Suvia and Ghostflower... she paused in her thoughs, then shook her head They're probably no in their room... she continued, away from the right wing of the hall, she trotted into where the other members of the palace would stay. She stayed in line with the deep crimson, elaborately decorated rug, not even moving a hair out of center. She stopped looking into one of the rooms and took in the scent, nothing but the familliar scent of dust and cat, but stale cat. She continued down the hallway, scenting each room. She finally came to one room with a newer, more fresh naitive scent... She couldn't recognize the scent up front, but when she poked her head around the corner she could see, Flicka, studying her reflection in the mirror. Well hello, Flicka, Having fun are we? Giggling slightly she walked up and sat next to the other she-cat, looking at her thorough the mirror.

Flicka jumped when she heard Skyelarks voice. She nodded and grinned.Yeah plenty of fun. She flicked her tail glanced at the mirror and to Skyelark again. Now my little place has been found. She though sadly. She had always known it would be found out but sh had wished not so soon. So what brings you here, Skyelark. Exploring also? She asked wonderingly. It was none of her business but she was just curious. Anything wrong with that? She asked herself.

Skyelark ;;Blame it on me, Set your guilt free. Nothing can hold you back now. Skyelark nodded at Flicka's comment, and giggle slightly and her answer to her first question. Those new emotions mixed in with everything that already swirled around her head, and now those emotions added to the intense, confusing strand of information that linked like a chain. She noticed Flicka's expression change from delighted to sad, then back to a fake look of delightment. Skyelark listened to Flicka's reiterative question Am I exploring, or just wandering aimlessly she could barely hear this over he other thoughts, that were more prominent. It took her a long time answer the smaller she-cat's question Am I? she couldn't come up with an answer You know, I really don't know. she forced a small laugh at herself.
That's really not good, If I'm too in depth of thought to NOT know what I'm doing... she trailed off. Skyelark looked up at ornate wood carvings around the massive mirror, her hazel eyes glistened in the odd lighting from the dusty window. I've never seen this room before, this mirror is amazingly ornate. I wonder how long it took for the humans to make this? she sighed, then peered at her reflection in the glass. Her long wavy fur was knotted, and in some parts, spiky with mud I need to clean my fur! she giggled. Her tail thumped behind her, as a purr vibrated from her vocal cords.

[green]Flicka laughed quietly.Sometimes you don't know sometimes you do. She said not really paying attention. She saw a small mouse skitter by and sighed. It reminds me of me. So small and probably a bit lonesome. She felt a flash of anger and confusion.Oh how she wanted to know if she was a true born native just short or if she was clan cat. She looked to Skyelark. What would happen if I was a clan cat? I don't know and I wish to know but still. She nervous at her answer. She didn't want to be kicked out if she was a clan cat. All she could do was hope. She watched as she turned her gaze to the mirror. It's beautiful isn't it? I've always been terrified of mirrors bit whne I found this one I couldn't stop coming to see it. It's as if something pulled me here. She said mainly to herself but also to Skyelark.[/green] I'm just kinda testing aorund with color and size so yeah. Also sorry about it only being 232 words.

Skyelark ;;Now that you're gone, I feel like myself again. Grieving the things I can't repair and willing... Light ivy eyes flitted from every crack and crevice of the mirror's intricate woodwork, Skyelark sighed and lowered her gaze to the small she-cat next to her. Flicka's comment about what she had said, lightened the mood for a second I never really know where or what I'm doing anyways, so there's no point in saying anything about it her mind cleared slightly, she tried, she really did. The stress from being queen hadn't gotten to her apperance, but mentally, she was a total train wreck. Flicka's second question disturbed her clear headedness If you were a clan cat, then you wouldn't be sitting here would you? she tried hard not to sound angered by the small she-cat's question, why would one of her loyal subjects want to be a clan cat?
She looked down a her fluffy paws and sighed, Why would she want to be a clan cat, they have a greatly lesser amount of protection, they don't stay with mates, and their utterly discusting! this made Skyelark very very angry as to why Flicka would say that. What do we do to them? she snorted We kill clan cats Flicka, their trainees wander onto out territory and we kill them, they must learn the distances they can travel she snorted with laughter again, then fixed her gaze on herself in the mirror.
Her fluffy, oddily light colored coat was puffed out slightly in the rage Flicka had caused her. Skyelark just was appalled, and yet again, as soon as she thought of Flicka's comment all of the thoughts she had managed to clear flooded back into her brain like a broken dam or levi. She closed her eyes, trying to rid herself of the thoughts once more but failed What am I to do? she shook her head slightly When I'm around Hood, it seems like all of these thoughts go away, and now their back! she was frustrated enough as is was, and now Ghostflower was dissapearing regularly and Suvia, well Suvia, god knows where that rascall go to!

[teal] Flicka shivered. I know we kill them but I was raised as a native. So kill me just because of my bloodlines I didn't even know about? It didn't seem fair. Her tail tip twitched nervously.Oh. I know you kill them but I was just wondering. She said dissapointed. Why do I have a strange urge to meet these cats and be friends with them though? She sighed out of frustration. One day I promise to meet them and learn if I truly am one She promised to herself. She glanced at Skyelark slightly afraid and then to her paws. She hated herself for bringing it up but she to know.[/teal]
