Mirror, mirror on the wall {raven/hood}

[X]Skylark padded silently through the southern castle grounds, towards the shimmering lilly ponds. Her thoughts pondered as she slowed her pace, she stared into the nearest of the eight ponds. This one had but one lilly on the very edge, she snickered You must be very lonely she said, swatting her paw at it. The ripples in the pond blurred her reflection, her face looked distorted and eye where an ear should be and an ear were an eye should be. She giggled and trotted over to the other side, Sky was very easily entertained by this kind of thing, she swatted at the lilly again and watched in glide back to the other side.
[X]Her long multi colored fur caught the water each time she batted the lilly to the opposite side. She didn't even notice until her entire leg was soaking wet. Sky laid down to lick her leg when she caught a clear, perfect reflection on her face. She studied her features, her brilliant green eyes, lined with sapphire blue, she purred in a narcissistic happiness.

Jet black paws padded silently against the cold stone of the castle. His brilliant blue eyes flicked back and forth as he made his way to the partially open window on the second story. He smiled as he leaped into the window sill, and gazed out into the unusually bright day. He narrowed his eyes against the sun as he slid down onto the slightly sloped roof. Claws unsheathed he clung to the roof and looked towards the Lilly ponds. Turning he jumped to a lower rise in the stone wall and finally into an oak tree and onto the ground. Turning he padded swiftly towards the ponds just as Skye said 'you must be very lonely'. He tilted his head sideways as she pushed the pad back and forth, finally coming to a stop to gaze into the water. He smiled and padded over to her, "Lonely at all?"he purred.

[X]The long moment of silence ended when a smooth, somewhat enjoyed voice rang in her ears. "Lonely at all?" Skye looked up from her reflection, her light blue eyes glistening Hello. she greeted the large black cat in front of her You skipped your time in the window? she asked him curiously, standing up and padding silently too his side. She stared into his, they were blank and emotionless as so were hers.

The dark raven colored cat shrugged and looked back towards the castle. "I thought I might come and look for you." He looked to her and smiled "And here you are!" His once emotionless seeming eyes sparkled with admiration for the white and tabby she-cat. He looked to the Lilly pad drifting about near the edge of the pool, it's green center standing out against the brownish frost bitten sides. He turned to the water and touched it gingerly as if to test the temperature. Hood loved swimming, but he didn't like swimming in freezing cold water unless he had to. "So how has your day been?" he called over his shoulder.[/color]

Skyelark looked at Hood for a second, his once emotionless face was soft and he shrugged "Thought I would come looking for you" he said D'aww thats so sweet her expression softened as well she looked up at the darkening sky for a split second, then back at the black cat in front of her. He was what looked like testing the water temperature. She giggled slightly at him The waters' not cold she kept the remark in her head, she knew not to be such a smart ass all the time. "So how has your day been?" he asked around his shoulder, this time putting his entire paw in the pond It was a day, I havent Suvia or Ghostflower all day...i'm slightly puzzled about that she replied, licking her paw and dragging it over her bi-colored ear.

The black tom cat finally slipped his entire paw in after he stopped speaking, then his other paw as he gently slipped into the water. The water wasn't cold, it must have been one of the underwater volcanically heated ones. Hood didn't care. Turning Hood slowly, but surely, turned around in the water, his long black tail trailing after him. 'I haven't seen Suvia or Ghostflower' he flicked his ears forward and looked up at Skyelark. "There probably just fooling around, or playing with their friends." He clawed at a small leaf as it floated by. "Or exploring." Hopefully not out in Ghost Forest.[/color]

Skyelark nodded at his response Your probably right she laughed at herself as she walked over to the edge of the pond Hood was swimming in. She laid down next to the pool, hanging her paw in the shallow water. Her eyes remained at the ripples of the pool from Hood's swimming. Her paw feathers caught the water again as a small tide washed in and out of the banks. Her eyes took a massive shift up to the point of the tallest tower on the castle I never noticed how huge this castle was she muttered, hoping Hood didn't notice.

He glanced into the water, watching the rocks from the bottom of the pool ripple back in forth. Finally he folded his ears against his head and dipped his head under the water, pawing at the bottom for a moment before resurfacing and parting his jaws for a quick breath. Shaking his head he pulled himself to shore and laid on the pebbly shore. He looked over to Skyelark as she gazed at the castle, finally he looked to and nodded, "They are huge. But they are also strong, there is no way our home will go up in flames." Turning his gaze away from the castle to look at Skyelark he sighed, that swim was refreshing.[/color]

Skye laughed at his remark. She closed her eyes, taking in the sweet scent of the lilly ponds. She stood and turned around to look the black tom right in the eyes. I guess she was more energetic now that she had some time to spend with Hood, the tom she had fallen so dearly in love with. Her mind wandered as she walked up to him, he took his fur out, dampening hers, but Skye took no notice to this. She walked up to him and touched noses with him. I'm going to go check in Suvia and Ghostflower. she turned and walked silently away from the lilly ponds.
