Rabbitpaw or "Buddy" as he was being called, walked beside Morningpaw carefully. It was so...wet; he wrinkled his nose as he trodded through a rather deep puddle. Was there any dry land left? "Buddy" wondered how the RiverClanners could stand being around this much water. Could they stand it? He wondered. It did seem like to much water, even for a RiverClan cat. "Buddy" turned to "Sophie". It's a bit damp isn't it? "Buddy" remarked sarcatically.

Markpaw out exploring when she picked up two scents so now she was following them. Whens he spotted the two cats she unsheathed her claws and stalked towards them. She bunched up her legs and pounced on the one called "Buddy" in which she didn't know. Inturders!!! She yowled and hissed. She jumped off him and in front of them. Who are you and why are you on Riverclan territory?

Morningpaw, or 'Sophie', nodded to her companion and gasped when Markpaw jumped out of nowhere and pounced on Rabbitpaw. "Ah! No, please," she said, trying to push Markpaw off of him. She still bore the mark of just brushing against 'Buddy' on her shoulder. "Please," she repeated. "We didn't mean to trespass. We're just...loners. We've never been here before," she said. She sincerely hoped that the apprentice believed their story.

[blue]Markpoaw studied the two cats in front of her carefully. This wasn't exactly one of her bright days and she was careless today so she wnet with there story. Even for loners you should still know better than to trespass. You lucky a warrior didn't catch you. Then you would really be in trouble. She flicked her tail still confused. So why exaclty are you here anyway? I know your loners never being her before but still. She paused. And no stupid fake stories. I want the truth. She said not knowing she already believed one of their lies.[/blue]

Rabbitpaw's rage was like a volcano ready to burst even after Markpaw got off oh him! He wanted to kill her for touching him! "Buddy" glared down the extremely wet ground and dug his claws in it, they went in unnaturally deep. "Buddy" wanted to yell and scream at Markpaw, but he just couldn't find the right words to say. Buddy. He growled, motioning with his tail to himself. Sophie. He motioned toward the other "loner". Rabbitpaw paused for a moment, trying to collect his thought. Didn't smell it. Rabbitpaw grumbled, referring to the border. The last question was harder to answer for someone like him. He opened and closed his mouth a few times, unsure of what to say and if he thought of something he was unsure of how to say it. "Buddy" turned to "Sophie" in hopes that she could think of something to tell the RiverClan apprentice.

Morningpaw honestly surprised herself at how easily a story came to her. "We used to be barn cats," she explained, looking a bit saddened at the 'memory'. "We were both born on a farm not to far from here, actually. Live there was pretty good, the twolegs never bothered us much and there was all the mice a cat could ask for," she explained with a wistful smile. She'd heard plenty of stories about the easy lives of farm cats. "But then the humans discovered us and our families living in the barn and brought in dogs and traps," she said with a bitter tone to her voice. "We had to leave and this is just where we wound up," she concluded, looking up to Markpaw. If she had fingers, she'd be crossing them, hoping that the RiverClan apprentice bought her story.

Markpaw let the story sink in as she thoght.Barn cats. Twolegs discovered. Dogs and traps. Leave. She nodded getting it straight. So what are you two going to do now? Live on your own. The life of a loner is hard or so I've heard at least.. She looked at them waiting for an answer. A slight breeze rufled her fur as she sat down.

"Buddy" blinked in awe at the story "Sophie" had made up. That was pretty good. I almost believed too, for a moment there. I'll have to tell this to Morningpaw later on. A pale hint of a smile formed on his muzzle. Yeah, traps. "Buddy" nodded in agreement. He shrugged after Markpaw asked what they were going to do next. Things, I guess. The last thing Markpaw said puzzled "Buddy". Was loner life hard? Laurel seemed pretty content and Mud looked like she was having fun. But then again, Mud did explain a few of Mom's mates and not all of them sounded very good at, er, lonering. Depends on the cat. "Buddy" answered simply.

Morningpaw/"Sophie", just nodded when her companion spoke. She was still praying constantly to StarClan that Markpaw wouldn't recognize them as WindClan cats. "We handled loner life pretty good before. Though it might be a bit tougher now. I haven't noticed as much prey or shelter as we had back in the barn," she said, forcing a sad tone into her voice.
"I'm sure we'll be able to survive though. If you want us off your territory, though, we'll leave...won't we, Buddy?" she said with a meaningful glance at Rabbitpaw. Her unusually dark brown eyes flicked back to Markpaw as she offered a nervous smile.

Markpaw hesitated. She didn't want to make these cats go off on their own but they couldn't stay on the territory. I guess you could stay here for a day or two and then leave to find somewhere. I'd let you stay longer but if a warrior found out I'd be in deep trouble. She shifted and flexed her claws. Are you in anyway familiar with some clan ways? She asked wonderingly

Rabbitpaw nodded, agreeing with Morningpaw. Gotta go. "Buddy" mumbled. He was truthfully glad they were leaving; staying here felt really awkward for him. "Buddy" twisted his head in confusion at Markpaw's last question. Duh! We live- "Buddy" snapped his muzzle shut abruptly. He tried to hide the growing alarm in his eyes. His fur bristled, ready for attack in case she noticed what he said.

Not caring about the repercussions, 'Sophie' gave Rabbitpaw a sharp nudge and a warning glance. "Don't worry yourself," she mewed kindly. "We can just as easily find a place to stay outside Clan territories. As long as we can detect a border we should be fine. Thank you for your offer, but we really must be leaving now, goodbye!" Morningpaw mewled as she turned around and started back towards the border.

Markpaw nodded and looked curiously at Rabbitpaw. Her eyes narrowed. Now she was alert. You live where? I thought you lived in a barn and your famiy was killed by traps. She growled and unsheathed her claws. She ran in front of Morningpaw and blocked there way to the border. Where are you and who are you from! She demanded seriously. I dont want to here any lies unless you want warriors to come and make you tell us.

As the danger levels went up, so did Rabbitpaw's thinking. Who are we from? Are you asking who sent us? No on sent us. He growled, managing to form out a good sentence. We told you where were from! He spat out. Now move before I make you. Rabbitpaw bared his fangs and unsheathed his claws. He jumped in front of Morningpaw protectively; water splashed everywhere from his landing and soaked his soft fur. Move.

Morningpaw gasped and shrank back submissively when Markpaw cut her off and the situation just got worse when Rabbitpaw started acting aggressively. "Buddy, let's just go," she suggested, an ounce of a pleading tone entering her voice. She'd almost slipped and called him Rabbitpaw, then all bets would be off, but she'd remembered the situation in time to use the fake name.
