Garnetpaw stood outside the nursery, staring at it with wide eyes. His tail swished back and forth behind him in a nervous manner as he contemplated whether or not he should go in. Sharpfang had instructed him to clear out the old shredded bedding and replace it with fresh moss for the kits and queens. To be honest, he really didn't want to. Being around the notorious foursome of the ShadowClan nursery didn't exactly appeal to him. What was the worst that could happen if he disobeyed?
Sharpfang would tear me to shreds and throw me in the nearest sinkhole, that's what, Garnetpaw thought with a sigh before stepping forward into the nursery.
"GARNETPAW~!" Nightkit screeched, flinging herself towards the apprentice. The older tabby tom just winced and side stepped, leaving the kit to fly passed him and crash into the nursery wall. Her green/blue eyes went crosseyed for a moment before she shook her head and jumped to her paws, her little tail sticking straight up in the air. "What are you doing in here? Did you come to play with us? You know, it isn't that long since you left," Nightkit observed. It seemed that they didn't get much visitors in the nursery.
Garnetpaw wilted when he saw the condition of the nursery. The moss was everywhere! This was going to take longer than he intended. He started scraping together the moss into a loose pile, which Nightkit promptly skidded through, scattering scraps of moss everywhere. The black kitten giggled and Garnetpaw groaned. "Please...I'm trying to..." he started, but Nightkit was pouncing at his paws, forcing him to step back. "Sharpfang told me to..." he tried again, but Nightkit just interrupted him again. What a pushover miracle worker this apprentice is with kits.

...DESTORY THE THUNDERCLAN INVADER!!! Raidkit shrieked in mock alarm. The handicapped she-kit seemed to have fallen from nowhere. She made it her duty to fling all the moss in the den at Garnetpaw's muzzle, eyes, and pelt. Raidkit did a cross between a limp and run around the apprentice, weaving around his legs a few times in atempts to trip him up. Her spastic leg was jerking around madly from all the excitement. Raidkit turned to Nightkit with a mischivious smirk on her face. Let's eat him. And it looked like she ment it.

Garnetpaw jumped when Raidkit shrieked at him and started flinging moss with him. "Please, kits, I just need to..." he tried explaining again, but Raidkit was now trying to trip him. He made an uncomfortable noise and tried to step back without stepping on her without much success and fell to his side. He promptly returned to his feet, moss clinging to his side and he scowled slightly. Whoever said that kits were little bundles of joy must have bees in their brain. "W-wait, what?" he hissed in alarm when Raidkit suggested they eat him. Normally he wouldn't have believed it, but the silver and white kit just looked so serious.
"Yeah, yeah!" Nightkit cheered, bouncing up and down slightly when Raidkit made her little proposal. "That's a great idea!" she mewed with a sly purr.

...Thanks Nightkit! ...Let's do it! Raidkit charged to Garnetpaw, baring her tiny fangs. ...I call his paws! the fluffy she-kit giggled. She began to nibble on Garnetpaw's paws, increasing speed and force as she went on. Raidkit paused for a moment to look sweetly up at Garnetpaw. You taste like sparrow.

Garnetpaw wiggled his paw slightly. "Ow..Raidkit, that hurts!" he hissed, flicking his paw and hoping to slap her across her nose as he did so. Nightkit had started chewing on the apprentice's hind leg and he kicked her off, sending the black kit tumbling roughly away. "Now are you going to sit down and act like real apprentices or am I going to have to get Cloverstar in here?" he snarled. He was getting fed up with all the obstacles the kits were creating for him. Nightkit sat in a stunned silence as the apprentice started nosing the moss into a pile. His ears fell back slightly as he began to wonder if maybe he shouldn't have yelled at them. What if he got in trouble for it?

Raidkit gaped at Garnetpaw in horror. ...You wouldn't! She went over to Nightkit and sat down next to her. ...You can't tell Cloverstar! ...'Cause then Cloverstar will tell my daddy and then I'll get in trouble! Raidkit whined pathetically while her trick leg jerked around. She stared at him for a moment. ...My daddy's your mentor ya know. Raidkit exclaimed proudly, momentarily forgetting her stress.

"I know, which is why if you keep misbehaving I have a direct line to him," he snapped, shooting a glare towards the kits and sending a silent prayer to StarClan for letting him out of the nursery and into the apprentices' den before he went mad. He shook his head slightly as he grabbed his now large pile of moss and dumped it outside before working on gathering up the rest.

Raidkit shot Garnetpaw a death glare. Her leg smacked him on his way out. ...Sorry, it was my trick leg. She stated flatly. As soon as he left the den, Raidkit turned to Nightkit. No it wasn't. Raidkit whispered to her friend, giggling. She smiled innocently when Garnetpaw walked back in. Her face seemed to say, 'I know something that you don't know'.

Garnetpaw narrowed his eyes in frustration when Raidkit kicked him. He didn't really believe that it had been an accident due to her bad leg. Sharpfang, why do you hate me? he thought as he gathered up the last of the moss and took it outside. Then he bolted out of camp, eager to get away from the kits even if it was just long enough to get fresh moss.
Nightkit giggled when Raidkit said it wasn't her trick leg. She also adopted an innocent smile when the older tom came back into the nursery. She tilted her head when he finished collecting the moss and ran out of the nursery. "It looks like someone lit his tail on fire," she mewled with a laugh.

Large forest green eyes watched as Granetpaw darted out of the camp with bad moss. They had witnessed the attack of of his smaller comrads. A smile tugged at the tom's lips as he darted quickly but quietly out after Granetpaw. He stayed in the shadows of the bushes, trees and undergrowth and finally when the apprentice stopped to collect fresh moss he took his chance. Though his paws were huge and he was larger then most kits he stalked forward and bounced to Granetpaw's side. "BOO!" He yowled and ranked his sheathed paw down Granetpaw's side playfully. The mightly Lionkit grinned.

Garnetpaw had been enjoying the quiet peace of the territory when Lionkit snuck up on him. He let out a yowl of surprise when the orange kit jumped out and pretended to rake his claws down the apprentice's side. He spun around to face Lionkit with his head lowered, fangs bared and claws unsheathed. He blinked and resumed a normal posture when he realized what had happened. "Lionkit you shouldn't be out here," he scolded. "Don't you know that it's dangerous with all these sinkholes?" he scolded.

Lionkit continued to grin at Granetpaw's reaction. His large grin fadded slightly as he locked eyes with the apprentice. He then shook his head at him. "I'll go where I like thanks." He growled back. Granetpaw then continued on saying to was dangerous to scare him, and the sink holes, a whole bunch of fox dung he could care less about. He wouldn't get caught in no stupid sink hole. "I know this area, there are not sink holes here." Lionkit told him, only to part his jaw and continue. "You know, you're no fun now! Your uptight with your tail in a knot! Acting like your so high and mighty, you haven't been an apprentice that long!" Lionkit then hissed suddenly his mucles tense and his gaze hard. He was the biggest of the troublesome four. He wasn't the leader, but he could be if he wanted he could fight off anyone. Right now he wanted to whack Granetpaw on the muzzle be restrained himself for the time being.

Garnetpaw curled his lip slightly at Lionkit. "It doesn't matter how long I've been an apprentice for! All that matters is that I outrank you and I'm older than you. You need to go back to camp before Cloverstar or Sharpfang finds out you're missing," he meowed urgently. If Lionkit did happen to get pulled under by one of the sinkholes, it would be on Garnetpaw's head. He already had to deal with the occasional guilt of leaving his sister and birth Clan, he wasn't sure how he would handle a kit's death on his paws if that happened.

The kit took a large step forward into Granetpaw's face, his paw making a deep print in the soft ground. His lips curled back over small razors. "Rank smank. Your still not the boss of me. I can't beleive you used to hang out with us." He turned his nose slightly up. *Excuses, Excuses,* he thought. "Coverstar won't notice she's too busy and Sharpfang is out hunting or patrol or something like that. And if they did Nightkit and the gang will handle it. Makes me wonder if you were ever a kit." Lionkit said his voice mischevious and dareing.

Garnetpaw snorted as if disgusted. "I never hung out with you. By the time I came along, you were too close with the other three to let anyone else in. I just shared a den with you for a couple moons," he hissed, turning around and ignoring the kit to scrape together more moss. "And I was a kit. I just was just more mature then you," he grumbled.
