"My goddess see me through this please..." Tall and lean a she-cat strode across the clearing, her shining blue eyes sweeping the clearing grounds. Her paws were light on the forest floor as she approached the medicine cat’s den. She had heard there was a little one who lived alone there and who wanted to become a medicine cat. Mia was the she-cat’s name. She was from a land of sand called Egypt, far, far away across water and forested land. The she-cat could never return to her home and has wandered this new land and forests for endless moons. She had found a new family on her travels. Mia followed the great she-cat of the endless night, Bastet. She had been trained to heal and she was curious as to what was the difference between herself and a typical medicine cat. She wanted to learn everything about these cats, in the past she had lived with foxes, wolves, otters, even the mountain lions of the north. But she also felt for the little one who was on her own in a large den or so she was lead to believe. She had spent time on her own before she found Halt and Skip who were with her. She blinked and wondered if it was ok to see the she-cat. Besides Mia didn’t know this cat, and most times Halt or Skip were with her but she finally got away for a few moments to do this on her own. She hesitated at the den entrance as she peered inside the dark den. Shifting she convinced herself to enter and she did slowly watching for the she-cat who occupied this den. She thought she saw someone and she stopped looking where she thought someone was. Scents of herbs whirled around her making her think of home, her home back in the land of sand as cats here called it. “Hello?” She called softly her voice soft and warm. She didn’t normally have to try and be nice but without her guards she was somewhat nervous which was also odd. Mia was never nervous around cats and other animals. She sent a small prayer to Bastet asking for some guidance.

Witherpaw looked up from her nap at the sound of someone's voice. She sleepily looked towards the entrance of the den to see unfamiliar blue eyes. The amber tabby immediately grinned, remembered the news of three strange, new cats that recently showed up. Witherpaw jumped to her paws and sprinted towards the she-cat, coming to a skidding stop with her nose half a mouse length from Mia's nose. She peered up at her with an innocent, yet somewhat unnerving smile and merely stared at her for a few moments. Y-your wh-wha-whatsherface fr-from th-that sss-som-something o-or oth-other p-place! Witherpaw shouted, practically screaming in Mia's ear.

The stranger she-cat watched as the shape rose and then darted towards her. She was startled a bit when she met the young cat. She couldn’t help but smile, she remembered when she was young and had that kind of energy as a kit. This kit she could tell was different and she could sense that she must have been through some hardships as a kit. Mia was different, and a very accepting cat due to her character and beliefs. She believed Bastet made everyone different for a reason, and that the cat will so realize why, everything was a gift. Still smiling she listened to the kit spooked excitedly with a stutter, the she-cat didn’t want to hurt the other cat’s feelings and she ignored the loudness of her voice. “Yes I am who you speak of young one. The one from the land of sand called Egypt.” Mia spoke softly her voice still warm and like as a butterflies wings. “You may call me Mia little one. May I ask what is yours?” Mia asked then. Her blue eyes searching for the other cats. She then sat down her odd markings glowing slightly in the sun. Her rounded eyes angled forward as she awaited the kits response. Her long white and blue-ish tail curling around her delicate white paws.

Mia still smiled as Witherpaw spoke, and the young cat’s stutters didn’t bother her at all like it might others who were listening. The tall Egyptian cat let Witherpaw finish before she parted her jaws to speak. “It is a pleasure to meet you,” she then bowed slightly to the kit. In her home land they always bowed when meeting new cats, leader or commoner. “I am well actually. I just wanted to meet you as I have heard you are learning the ways of healing. Back in my home land I had to study healing as well.” She meowed kindly her voice still keeping its warmth. “Is there anything I could help you with?” Mia then asked.
