Firepaw
How can you see into my eyes?

Rain fell softly onto the trees that surrounded the Thunderclan camp as Firepaw awoke. She dragged herself out of the apprentices den and met the falling water with a shock and she yelped re-seeking cover in the dry apprentices den. Stupid rain! she huffed. Firepaw sat and began to clean her wet leg in which a huge water droplet had soaked. She nodded once this was clean, then cautiously wandered out into the light spring rain, a soft roll of thunder clapped over the horizon. Great, I have to go hunting in this! she spat in frustration, for she knew that all of the best prey was near the lightning rock, taking shelter in the heavy woods around it. Maybe Shadowmoon would be up to going with me! the thought of the big black tom made her sigh I shouldn't wake him though... he's never in a good mood if you do.
She wandered around the camp to see if anyone was awake, to see if even Mudpelt was awake, he was, but he was trying to wake Witherpaw. Firepaw walked away from the medicine cat's den shaking her head. She trotted over to the warrior's den and poked her head into the nest of moss and brambles, no one she would hunt with enjoyably was awake. She walked around the camp, she even thought of seeing if Soulstar wanted to go hunting, but she knew he had leaderly duties to attend to. Sighing, she padded over to the freshkill pile and picked a rather plump swallow off of the top. She draged it over to a corner of the camp that was undercover and began to devour the small bird hungrily.
It was time to go hunting. She stood, cleaning her paws slightly and looked around, more cats began to stir and wander over to the freshkill pile Wow, I'm glad I got there first!. She quietly slunk over to the entrance of the camp, and raced out. The soft muddy landscape squished between her paws as she raced into further into the Thunderclan territory. No prey smell caught her nose yet, but she hadn't drawn near the lightning rock. Another low rumble of thunder spread across the heavily clouded sky, but Firepaw did not hear it, she had drowned out the world and set her mind on one thing, catching prey. She now could see the lightning rock, and slowed her pace to a brisk walk. She now could smell a pretty fresh vole scent so she went into a crouch, cringing when she felt the cold mud meet the skin on her belly Great, I'm gonna have a good time cleaning my fur today. She began to track it, keeping her footsteps as quiet as possible, she passed a rather large fern, then spotted the vole, it was a little on the skinny side, but she knew she didn't have to bring back much. She stalked her prey a little further, then redied her legs to pounce, her leg muscles coiled like springs as she set her trajectory. Her brilliant green eyes fixed on the vole, and she pounced, killing with one quick bite to the neck.
