Appearance:

Cloudeyes is a she-cat with gray fur so dark it sometimes looks black, but is a slightly lighter gray underneath, giving her a smokey effect. Her fur is thick and soft. A white streak runs from her left eye to the tip of her tail, stark against the rest of her fur, matching her eyes. The way Cloudeyes got her name is the very pale blue color of her eyes. It is so pale to be almost colorless. Cloudeyes has an oriental (long and thin) build. She is also very light, being about three pounds. Her nose is black. Her face is pointed.

Personality:

Cloudeyes usually acts expressionless, like nothing bothers her nor interests her. What a contrast to her inner mind! The way she handles stress is to drive others away, sometimes with her sharp tongue. Quick witted and logical, Cloudeyes is good at figuring things out. She won't tell, though. While she sees what is going on around her, her mouth remains shut, and others give her a wary trust. The only cat she is close to is Rainstreak, her brother and a warrior.

History:

Her parents were Palestep and Nightfoot of RiverClan. They had been in the nursery together, apprentices together, warriors together. They were close friends, and even closer mates. When they learned that Palestep was with kits, they were over joyed. She gave birth to three kits: Cloudkit, Rainkit, and Icekit. Unfortunately, both Palestep and Icekit died. But, when they went to bury the bodies, Icekit was no where to be found. Cloudkit and Rainkit became close, growing up to become the medicine cat Cloudeyes and the warrior Rainstreak. But, what became of their father, Nightfoot? Torn apart by grief over the cat he had loved so much, he would not eat nor drink, would not care for his kits, and slowly wasted away into nothingness. Neither of the two siblings remembered their parents or their long lost sister well enough to grieve. They only had faint dreams of what their family must have been.

Cloudeyes yawned, teeth gleaming in the darkness. She stood up from the warmth of her nest and shook moss from her pelt. What just woke me up? she wondered. She could not remember anything but the feeling of something horrible about to happen. A feeling recurring each and every night for the past few days. Maybe when the moon grew to half size again, StarClan would send her a dream explaining the gripping horror she felt. She padded out of her den, looking into the wordless stars. "StarClan, if you have something to say, please tell me," she whispered in a voice so soft that the night time breeze blew it into the silent sky.
