Age: 11 moons
Gender: Female
Desired Home: Riverclan
Desired Position: Apprentice
Appearance:
Destinedpaw has a small build, her tail a little short, her head proportional to her body in a normal way though. She is a little plump and round but all the healthier for a cat of her age. Her face is adorably round and her paw's are no bigger than any regular pebble. Her nose is smoothly edged and a dull brown color. Her face though well rounded is a regular wedge shape and her ears softly round off at the tip. Her slightly musseled limbs are no longer wobbly like a kit's but they still aren't very strong either and tend to twitch when she is nervous, giving away her otherwise hidden fears or anxieties.Personality:
Destinedpaw's fur is something that falls just short of a poetic nature. It's silky texture is over toned with a light shining glowing of gentle silver light when the sun or moon's rays lay upon the sight of her pelt. The light tan color of the majority of her pelt weaves with the deep ebony brown river of colors that fades to a black as dark as night making the stripes of tabby fur on her fur coat and pools of gingery tan fur gather in random places along her back and face. Two of these streams of color run down her face starting at the corners of her eyes as if she were permanently crying. Her underbelly to just under her chin is a creamy white colored fur soft as air. Her short tail is tipped in the deepest of blacks and seems to make the end of her tail fade out into the shadows of night.
Her eyes a un-nerving wise appearing for one of her age and hold much sorrow that few could understand and even fewer her age could even start to try imagining. One who has suffered much turmoil would look into her eyes and see their own eyes mirrored but changed of colors. A few of the wisest or most unlucky might also be able to see the fading ember of hope in her eyes. One thing is for sure, she has eyes that are unlike any other cats' could possibly be.
Destinedpaw moves with a swiftness that seems to challenge the wind and a grace that seems to challenge the water's of the river. Her expression is almost set in that of eternal with-drawnness and sorrow. Her tail drags more often then even just staying lifted off the ground and she flinches at any sudden movements another cat makes near or to-wards her. Her fur is often raised in fear and she walks with a look of suspicion and fear, these fears cause her grace and speed to go unnoticed more often than not.
Destinedpaw's scent is of fresh morning mist and a fragrance that is suspiciously alike the scent of cruching, crisp snow. This scent is often permeated with the faint undertones of caution and shyness. Her rare smile seems to glow in the slight moment that it appears and never lasts very long. Her appearance is in all of a young beauty that has, it almost seems, been abused badly.
Her eyes are rimmed with emerald green that fades out to a light golden color near the centers of her eyes and then fades out to a deep Sapphire blue just at the edges of her pupils.
Destinedpaw is highly withdrawn and shy. She is quiet and very nervous around others. She has lost confidence in everyone including herself and trusts no one. She is terrified of being judged for her desisions if she makes the wrong choice and isn't sure of how others feel about her. She thinks she is invisible to most and she can't seem to make herself appearent to them in her mind though they often think she is rather strong for her tender age. AS well as that she has a petratfying fear of running and large amounts of water. Aka she's hydrophobic.History:
Destinedpaw is strangley shy for her age. She doesn't talk easily becuase she is afraid she'll mess up the words. She is terrified of doing something wrong and being looked down upon for where and who she came from. She tries hard to earn her place, even though everyone already admires her for being so strong through the moons and she just doesn't see that they think she has earned her place a thousand times over.
Destinedpaw has no confidence in herself and needs someone to help her see how truely good she is but she listens to no one with beleif when they say such things for she thinks they are just lying to make her feel better. She knows deep down that who her mother and father were was not her fualt but she doesn't beleive even deep down that she is worthy of her own life or clan. She thinks that her crush hates her, though he really just doesn't notice her becuase she is always trying to blend in. She even thinks it is wrong for her to have a crush becuase of who she was born to.
Her scence of humor is good but hardly used becuase though many of her clan mates admire her for she is brave and couragous, none are really her close friends. She wishes she could just have a normal family like the rest of her clan but knows deep down that she is never going to be a normal warrior. She hates to think that she could hurt anyone but knows that she can and even if she hasn't.
Destinedpaw can often be found staring off into the distance in deep thought, usually at the stars and sometimes even crying. She is very quiet and loves to listen to the elder's tales. She has no scence of missing her mother for her mother's memoies are dead to her mind but she remembers her brave and loved father vividly for she had been his favorite kit and they had spent all their time togather fantisizing about how brave she would become someday. She has one thing she is certian always in though and that is Starclan. She would never doubt or dislike their judgement, which is part of her problam though becuase she beleives that they judge her unfit for the clans, even though they watch her with more intrest every day.
Destinedpaw's history would make no sense if that of her parents was not reveled first in brief so here we go.Sample post:
Angel, Destinedpaw's father, was born and raised a kitty-pet. His purpose was to be a breeder for pure bread brown marble tabbies. He had gone through the process of creating his pure bread kits many times but never once did he meet his children after they were born. He took no joy in his chosen mates and decided that must be how it was for any she-cat he would meet. He didn't believe love was real, much less that he might find it, until he met Aurora.
Aurora, Destinedpaw's mother, was an elegant and graceful firey she-cat born to be a loner though of half tribe blood from the mountains far away. Her attatude was feirce and stubborn and she never thought she would ever mate and have the soft life of a mother. She enjoyed her life as an indipendant loner. She never would have changed her mind either if she hadn't met Angel the very night she did.
As night krept upon the two-leg nest Angel inched his way through the two-leg's nest making his way to his favorite spot on the fence in their back yard as silently as any creature could have. As he reached the flapping door he looked up at a billboard kept on the nest's wall. On it were images somehow frozen in time of all of his children and past mates that he would never meet or see. A sigh escaped his jaws as he wished there were more to his life. His two-legs showed him a sort of love, but it was only for their pride in his coat and body build, not for his true self. He desperatly wanted to be truely loved, but he had long past lost faith that ny such thing exsisted and he pushed his way through the flap into the night's cool crisp air. A breeze blew his fur out gently cooling his over heated skin from the long early summer days. He jumped nimbly to the top of the fence lying down to watch the moon rise over the forest's tops.
Aurora ran nimbly and swiftly from the dog giving her chase, it was a clumsy two-leg's pet so she wasn't worried. She saw he lighs of two-leg nests ahead and smirked vainly to herself, no dog was about to over run her. Just as she reached the edge of the woods and prepared to leap for the top of the closest fence, not even noticing the other cat lying ontop of it in the split second as she tripped over a branch she had somehow missed in her path. She yowled in sudden pain as the dog sunk it's dull fangs into her left back paw picking her up by it and shaking her to the point of near sickness.
When Angel heard the yow he was startled back from his thoughts to reality and as he saw the mangy dog he growled feircely fur raising. Another cat in trouble or not, he had never tolorated dogs anywhere on or near his territory. He had lept at the dog, luckily a smaller breed, and had scratched it swiftly on it's nose. As it dropped Aurora while whelping the two cats had pelted together quickly back to the saftey behind his fence.
While they waited for the dog to truly leave Aurora and Angel started to talk grudgingly. Soon though Aurora decided he wasn't too bad to talk to really and Angel couldn't help but keep realizing how rugedly pretty Aurora was. If his face had been stripped of his fur it would be cherry red every time she looked him in the eyes. After a few hours he decided Aurora was the closest thing to a friend he had ever had, and though neighther knew it Aurora's heart had come to the same conclussion.
Barely a moon pasted before that friendship grew to much more than what eighther had ever expected to feel for another cat. Within another moon Aurora announced to Angel that she was with kits. When he had looked down and told her that he was sorry he'd been coming onto her when she was lready with someone else she had laughed at him and told him that they were his kits.
When the kits came Aurora hid under the two-leg's porch with the kits and Angel took care of her. Soon though the two-legs started to notice some of the signs and Aurora worried for her three kits, Daisy, Rain, and Hope, who was not yet known as Destinedpaw, asked Angel to run away with him, and before he knew what he was getting into he agreed. They waited until the kits were a little over 1 and a half moons old then they made their escape, Rain and Daisy held in their parent's jaws the mates jumped the face leaving behind Hope for only a few minutes as Aurora stayed with the other two kits at a predecided den as Angel went back to fetch Hope.
At the den though plans changed as Angel and Aurora found they were in the territory of a clan, later becoming known to Destinedpaw as Riverclan territory. Fearing once again for their kits Angel and Aurora grabbed Rain and Daisy by the scruffs of their necks through Daisy's fur in her mouth Aurora told Destinedpaw to stay put and hidden no matter what until her father returned for her. Scared Destinedpaw had shook her head obediently shivering a bit as she backed away into the den.
Long hours past as she stayed in the den terrified, cold, and hungry in the cold early winter's night. She watched out the small peep hole in the entrance. Suddenly bright red fur past before the peep hole drawing closer and thinking her mother had ecided to come back instead of her father she shot out of the den straight into the veiw of a starved fox. Before she could even think to move or run the fox had her in it's jaws about to bite down on her neck. She cried, yowled, and struggled earning her a little time. No one came though and the fox soon had his jaws directly on her neckand ready to kill. A sudden yowl had come from a firmilliary mouth as Angel spotted his duaghter in the jaws of a killer. As he had done with Aurora, he attacked the fox terrified for his duaghther's life. Unfortunatly this time though the fox was a large one not small in anyway.
Angel died that night saving Hope, who had long scince fainted to uncountiousness. Thinking she was dead the fox went off in search of other prey. If things had gone even the slightest bit that day Angel might have survived, but he didn't and destiny's path was set for him as he left his body to join those of the dead. When Hope awoke she found her father's dead cold body and had spent nearly an hour curled up against the cold fur crying silently.
Miles away her Mother and kin were cuaght in a two-legs trap. Hope would never see any of her kin again after that night and all on her own she cried and cried out for her mother and father. Finally a Riverclan warrior found the young kit cuddled against the dead cat's body that had belonged to her father. Unsure of what else to do the young warrior had taken the kit back to the camp and had given her to a queen with kits near Hope's age to raise.
The queen felt immidiatly protective of the kit having just lost one of her own to the cold and she renamed Hope Destinedkit, for she felt that it was Destiny that had brought her to her. And who knows mabey it was destiny. Destinedkit soon forgot her mother and siblings but she never forgot her father and soon felt as if he was with her in spirit.
Growing up to live by that warrior code she couldn't wait to become a warrior but she drew into herself whenever the other kits wanted to play with her. She stayed clear of others and the sorrow stayed with her. She couldn't bring herself to talk to many people but her kind nature was strongly evident. She, unlike many her age, knew and understood the hardships of deaths and didn't feel she could connect with them.
In this way she lost important chances to make friends and she grew up known as the loner among the clan. Some didn't approve of her being in the clan and she soon drew even farther into herself from the dirty looks many of the clan cats gave her.
Barely a moon before she was given her apprentice name the queen who had raised her died of greencough. The death of her foster mother crushed what ever little self esteme and trust in others Destinedkit had left. She took became almost so withdrawn that many cats forgot she was even there. She slowly became the invisible kit and no one took any heed of her.
Once barely a few days before she became an apprentice she was taken out to visit the river and had to be brought back carried like a newborn kit for she had nearly fainted at the sight of the water and her fur still stood on end as she remembered the gracefully lifeless swirling of the mighty river. She was shamed for her fear of the water, so dark so cold, and the other kits, even ones younger than her, teased her endlessly.
Though if it hadn't been for this teasing she most likely would never have been noticed long enough by the ledear to be made an apprentice.
Her apprentice ceramony was short and her new name was hardly even murmered by any of the cats for very few knew it as it was. The newly made Destinedpaw wasn't sure if her mentor had even noticed her at the ceramony except to touch noses with her. She still isn't sure how her mentor feels about her and she hides in the apprentices den often unsure of what her mentor will think of her.
Destinedpaw padded out of the apprentinces' den, the Riverclan apprentinces' den that is. This was all new to her, so she sometimes forgot that she was in an actual camp, and not near a river, thinking she might fall in. But, it was the way the Riverclan cats smelled, she was starting to smell like that...but she didn't care. This was her clan now, her home, her family....Family:
Her pelt was all groomed and looking clean and neat, her black tabby stripes made her unique in this clan, and she hoped that the other she-cats we'ren't jelous of her. She hoped they liked her! What if she would always be looked upon as an outsider...just some kittypet she-cat that joined. The others must think she's a softie!
