Unruly [Raven]

Soulstar sat crouched, belly still pressed against the cold winter ground. The leaves seemed to be growing wetter and wetter by the second, perhaps the temperature was rising. That was probably a good thing, the prey would come out soon. When she spoke he flicked his eyes away, slightly embarrassed. If a cat could blush he would be. When he looked back to her he had just enough time to jump to his feet as the pebble smacked her in the cheek. He gasped. He now ignored the border line, foolishly, and rushed to Cloverstars side. "I'm sorry! Did I hurt you?" She shrugged and he shifted slightly, uneasy when he realized he had crossed the border.[/color]

Cloverstar felt her fur grow warmer when Soulstar came to check if she was alright. "I'm okay. It was just an accident," she mewed quietly. She noticed he had crossed the border, but she didn't point it out or respond aggressively. She just looked up at him and tried to figure out why her heart was suddenly beating so painfully against her ribcage.

"You didn't mean to, right? If you didn't mean to then it isn't a big deal," she assured him with a nod.

Soulstar gazed into Cloverstars eyes for a long moment before swallowing nervously and looking to the border line. He knew he had better cross over again in case a patrol from either clan came by. He turned and his tail might have accidentally brushed her shoulder, he wasn't really paying attention to that. He stepped across the border and turned to face her again. His ears were at an awkward angle, and angle of sadness. "It was an accident, I didn't mean to. Sorry again Clover. Star." What is wrong with you Soulstar? Get a hold of yourself! First you say you like her, then you hit her with a pebble then you call her Clover. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! He directed his gaze away as he took deep breaths trying to calm his rapidly beating heart. He didn't realize that his pelt was slightly fluffed out, he spoke. "Perhaps I'll be more careful next time? I mean...your going to be okay right? I don't want to see you hurt" Maybe I should just not talk. I sound like a fool he thought to himself.[/color]

Cloverstar maintained eye contact with Soulstar and her heart never once slowed down. She quickly hid a disappointed frown when Soulstar went back across the border and smiled slightly when he spoke. "It's alright. I know you didn't mean to." When she noticed his fur was slightly fluffed as he spoke, she assumed that something was distressing him and stood up. She stepped over to him and reached out to touch noses with him. "It's okay, I'm not hurt. Just surprised. Calm down," she soothed, leaning forward a little more to give his ruffled shoulder fur a quick lick. The gesture was to show him how she knew he was worked up.

Pay more attention, your a leader your supposed to be good at these things! He rocked forward then backwards a little on his paws before Cloverstar crossed the border and walked up to him He was surprised, he did not expect her to cross the border. For him none the less. He looked up, his crystalline blue eyes catching the little sunlight that filtered through the speckled branches. When her nose brushed his nose he swallowed nervously and tried hard to let his fur lie flat. He sheathed his unsheathed claws, something he hadn't noticed was unsheathed until he pierced a leaf. He took a deep breath and pushed himself into a sitting position, on his hind legs that is. When she licked him on the shoulder he lowered his head a bit so that he could look into her eyes for a moment. The old small smile came back and he mumbled "Thanks. Anyways, what were we talking about?"[/color]

Cloverstar laughed softly and turned around to sit back on the ShadowClan side of the border. "I don't remember what we were talking about," she mewed. "Are you sure you're going to be alright?" Her eyes widened slightly in concern. He still seemed tense or nervous our something and it was starting to make her a bit edgy as well. She tried not to let his emotions affect her so much. After all, she was only swayed by cats she REALLY liked. And she couldn't REALLY like Soulstar. He could be a friend, but they were both leaders of different Clans so she was still trying to talk herself out of her little crush. She wasn't making a very persuasive argument.

She hadn't noticed that she'd zoned out with all her thinking so she was just sitting and staring blankly at Soulstar. If he'd said anything, she hadn't heard or responded to it. Suddenly she shook her head and looked at the other leader like she was confused. "Wha'?"

What am I thinking? I have never, NEVER liked another cat. And all of the sudden I am feeling these emotions towards Cloverstar? I must bee crazy, insane. No...I am just flat out mousebrained. Soulstar watched Cloverstar intently as she shifted back and forth, talking and whatnot. He tilted his head sideways as she stared off into space. "I'm fine." He waved his tail in front of her face, "Hello?" Finally she came around and stared at him Wha? He gave a small half smile and nodded towards Four Creeks. "Want to take a walk?" He paused, what if she thought he was trying to get her away from her clan? "Maybe a drink of cool water would be good for the both of us."

"A walk? Sounds like a good idea," Cloverstar purred and stood up. Perhaps if she was walking instead of just sitting and looking at Soulstar she could clear the bees out of her brain and start thinking clearly. But she wasn't reacting in a way that agreed with the thought as she tried to ignore the fluttery feeling in her belly and the slight excited twitching of her paws.

My Clan can survive a day without me, she thought as if trying to justify going with Soulstar. She looked at him with a small smile and dipped her head towards Four Creeks. "After you."

Soulstar smiled, nodded then turned to pad towards Four Creeks. He took a deep breath in a sad attempt to calm his nerves. He swished his tail to move it away from Cloverstar but might have brushed her, he winced slightly and continued on. He didn't know what to say, or even if he should say anything. So he walked silently towards Four Creeks with Clovestar, butterflies making him queasy. Finally the calming sound of the four creeks started to sooth his frayed nerves. He paused near the Shadowclan Thunderclan creek meeting spot, he gave a small smile. Maybe one day Shadowclan and Thunderclan could finally be allies, maybe one day something would change between the clans that had never happened before.[/color]

Cloverstar followed Soulstar on her side of the border and smiled slightly when his tail brushed her shoulder. They made the journey in silence and it just made Cloverstar more nervous. She calmed down fairly quickly when the sound of the creeks could be heard. "At least we don't have to worry about borders here, right?" she mewed, trying to spark conversation as she bent her front legs to lower her chest to the ground and began to lap up the chilly water. Her eyes were closed in an attempt at a calm expression and her ears were alert and waiting for Soulstar to speak if he was going to.

Soulstar watched calmly as Cloverstar moved past him to drink some of the cool, clear, spring water. He smiled and walked over next to her, he crouched down, his belly fur catching dew from the night before. "Right" He bent his head down and lapped at the cold water, he shivered slightly, not only from the cold water. He swallowed and pushed himself to sit as he gazed into the water. "Lets just hope no other cats stop by." He smiled down at her as he spoke, "I would hate for them to think the vicious and 'evil' Shadowclan leader has turned soft." He pawed at a leaf on the side of the creek and pushed it into the water, he calmly watched as it drifted back and forth around the water currents.

Cloverstar sat up shortly after Soulstar did and glanced at him out of the corner of her eye. "Oh and I'd hate for them to think that the noble ThunderClan leader is being corrupted by the evil ShadowClan leader. What ever would that do to your image?" she gasped, pretending to be shocked. She leaned slightly away from him and lifted her paw and aimed a soft cuff to the golden leader's ear. "Well that will never do!" she purred and sat up straight again. She watched him push the leaf into the water and smiled slightly as she watched it float.

The leaf swirled in a circle and bounced along the edges of the creek, but Soulstars attention was not on the leaf, it was on Cloverstar. His eyes were focused on hers as she spoke, he smiled and flicked one ear back as if annoyed. The playful glint in his eye said otherwise though. She softly cuffed his shoulder and he smiled and recoiled as if she had hit him hard. He fell onto the soft squishy leaves and looked to her. "I don't know what I'll do. It seems as if Shadowclan has got the better of me!" He smiled and lashed his tail playfully back and forth as he lay on his side in the soft leaves.

Cloverstar grinned when Soulstar fell over and pretended to be defeated. She pounced forward and placed one paw gently on the tom's shoulder and the other on his side. "I never thought ThunderClan would go down so easily," she cooed. For a moment she wondered if it was wrong to play with Soulstar like he was a Clanmate but then she realized something. She didn't care and she would play with her friend no matter what other cats though. She gave a fake evil laugh and sat down with her paws still resting lightly on his fur.

The cold wet leaves sent a thin chill up through his fur and onto his skin. Normally he would have jumped up and shook frantically before finally sitting and licking his fur until it was dry, but not this time. This time he smiled up at Cloverstar as she placed her paws on his shoulder. He flashed an 'evil' grin at her before responding "Oh we don't go down that easily" With a heave he pushed himself upwards trying to knock Cloverstar from her sitting position.
