Jasperpaw

The sky was a brilliant blue color. The prey paced back and forth as they searched for what food they could find that wasn't wet. The flooding had caused a shortage in food of all types. But even with the food shortage patrols still had to run. With patrols came trouble, or clam, it completely depended on the situation the cats are in.

Soft paws glided over the squishy ground around the entrance to the camp. Jasperpaw was early but it was her first patrol! She smiled and lashed her tail around, normally it showed anger but this time it was excitement. She purred and started to bat at a small ball of used up moss, a piece someone didn't dump that far from camp. She looked up and gazed into camp, Sootstar, Ivyeyes and Markpaw were supposed to join her. Would they get here soon?

[silence]

[blue]Markpaw was sleeping peacefully in the apprentices den considering she completly forgot about the patrol. She felt something poke her side and growled as she opened her eyes. She looked around and saw nothing was around her, so what had woke her up? She narrowed her eyes agains the sun light streaming in when she remembered. She gapsed and fell backwards in shock. Ohh no!!The patrol!! I completly forgot. She thought as she scrambled out of the den. She saw Jasperpaw and walked over to him. She licked a bit of her messy fur and saw it was only the two apprenitces who were to go. Her and Jasperpaw. She looked around. Aren't the warriors normally the first ones? she thought confused but shrugged it off. Hey Jasperpaw whats up? She finally spoke, for the first time, today.[/blue]

She was getting tired of waiting where was the leader and the other warrior? She huffed a sigh and sat down quickly. She flicked her ears back but then forward when she heard the approaching pawsteps. Turning she gazed at Markpaw as she made her way over. "Morning Markpaw" she purred kindly. She nodded towards the leaders and warriors dens. "They aren't here yet." She swished her tail over the dirt, flinging the dry moss at Markpaw. "In the meanwhile?" She smiled and stood, laying her front legs on the ground but standing with her back she waved her tail. "What do you say about a quick game of Mossball?"

[silence]

She gasped and put a paw over her mouth.They aren't here yet? She said sarcastically. Shame on them. Normally they have to drag us out of the apprenties den. She said trying not to laugh. When Jasperpaw's tail flung moss at her she decied not to dodge and elt it land on her. She pawed off the moss clinging to her coat that landed on her and listened as she asked if she would play mossball. She let out a playful growl. Your on.
